Sales of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin have exceeded 1.4 million copies, Capcom has confirmed. That news comes straight from the company’s latest financial report published today.

Capcom’s results for the nine months ended December 31, 2021 saw net sales at 88,163 million (up 35.9 percent year-over-year), operating income at 35,096 million yen (up 43.9 percent year-over-year), ordinary income at 36,148 million yen (up 50.1 percent year-over-year), and net income attributable to owners of the parent at 26,708 million yen (up 52.4 percent year-over-year). It said that sales for Monster Hunter Stories 2 as well as Resident Evil Village “continued to perform well”.

Capcom had announced back in October that Monster Hunter Stories 2’s sales were at 1.3 million. Shortly after the game’s launch last summer, sales had already crossed the million mark.
