Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars

Compile Heart is bringing the action RPG Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars to Switch, according to the latest issue of Famitsu. This follows the game’s original appearance on PlayStation 4.

For the Switch version, Compile Heart is adding new content. Fans can expect “Extremely Hard Mode” and “Mushy Mushy Mode”, eight costumes that were initially offered as DLC on PS4, and new sub events.

As the name implies, Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars is a crossover of the Neptunia and Senran Kagura franchises. We have some additional information below.

Gamninjustri – a place where all manner of ninjas gather.

As the struggle for control increased between the Daimyos of the nations, tensions rose between the two great nations, each of which was home to one of the major schools of martial arts.

The Compa Style which has mastered the Ninja Arts based on the Command Technique.
The Honeypa Style which has mastered the Ninja Arts rooted in the Action Technique.

The two camps were stuck in a ruthless competition of skill in order to achieve hegemony, but as they fought on, a mysterious army of mechanical ninjas made their assault.

The mechanical ninja army overran the smaller nations in an instant, and the Steeme Legion leader, Yoh Gamer, made an announcement to the world:

The Super NINJA War to decide the world’s strongest school is about to begin!

Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja War lets players choose between ten characters. In battle, it’s possible to switch between two of them. Other elements of the game include chaining Ninja Art Skills, collecting Spirit Gems for stat boosts, and participating in the Peaches & Cream Meditation mini-game with the Peach Gauge providing even more stat boosts in battle.

Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars will be available for Switch in Japan on March 17, 2022. There’s no word on a western release, but as the game was already localized on PS4, we’ll likely be seeing the port in North America and Europe sometime next year.
