New Splatoon 3 listing for Nintendo Switch 2 has appeared
There could be something happening with Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch 2 as a new rating has now appeared. Over on the PEGI website, a separate entry has been added for that console.
Splatoon 3 actually already received a new update earlier this year targeted at Nintendo Switch 2 players. The patch brought along enhanced visuals and a better frame rate, particularly in locations like Splatsville and the Grand Festival Grounds. We have more information about that here.
This news follows something similar that happened with Pikmin 3 just a few days ago. That title also received a new Nintendo Switch 2 classification on PEGI’s website.
There’ll be more to come for Splatoon, presumably in 2026. Earlier this year, Nintendo revealed Splatoon Raiders for Switch 2. However, it has not been seen since the original June reveal.
Despite the free update earlier in 2025, perhaps Splatoon 3 could get its own dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
