Well, that was no fun. The site decided to crap out on a massive scale just as the conference started. I am so, so sorry that it happened, but there was just no way to get it up any faster! In any case, as you can see, I’ve already started covering a number of news items, but here’s what we missed during the conference:

– Can save a picture of your Mii to an SD card
– Can convert Miis into QR Code to print/post on a website
– Tag Mode Mii Plaza: See all Mii characters obtained wirelessly
– Can merge two photos into one
– When you press the home button while playing the game, you can go to certain programs like Memory Notebook, check out your playtime, see how many steps you’ve taken
– Comes with a 2GB SD card
– AR Games will be bundled into the 3DS
– Game Boy, Game Boy Color, POSSIBLY Game Boy Advance
– When in sleep mode, the 3DS can automatically receive data such as rankings, ghost rankings, free software
– NTT to support the 3DS internet connection
– NTT BP’s Wifine area to support the 3DS next year
– Rankings and auto-download data can be used at DS Stations and Nintendo Zones
– Fuji TV to send out free 3D videos daily (experimental basis)
– Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black launch colors

– 3DS VC games include Link’s Awakening DX, Super Mario Land
– Tetsuya Nomura: “Starting with Kingdom Hearts, we’d like to release a number of titles on 3DS.”
