Nintendo UK has opted not to live stream tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct due to “period of national mourning”, the company has said.

Last week, Queen Elizabeth II passed away, and the news has quickly become a worldwide news event. However, it has had the biggest impact in the UK.

Nintendo UK will be publishing the Nintendo Direct as a video-on-demand on its YouTube channel at 4 PM tomorrow. All other regions will be live streaming the presentation as per normal. Nintendo UK will be sharing the video after the live streams end in other territories.

A Nintendo Direct was previously rumored this week, but there was a bit of talk that the event could be delayed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. As we now know, while things have gone on as scheduled, her death has been acknowledged and had a slight impact – though only in the UK.

For those in the UK looking to watch the Nintendo Direct as it happens, they can simply tune in to the North American or Japanese broadcast.
