Tournament of Legends

– Most of the violence from when it was originally shown is gone
– Craig gave it a 5/10
– “An official meh”
– Graphics don’t look that great
– Craig feels like the game was rushed to make the game SEGA wanted them to make it (not official)
– Game sometimes stops so they can do something cool in the middle of the fight
– Quick time event to dodge giant feet
– Described as “bizarre”
– Filling in the gap of original third-party games
– $30, so it’s a budget game

Club Nintendo

– Platinum/Gold rewards announced
– Platinum reward is a small figurine
– Doesn’t seem like it’s made yet since they won’t be shipped for awhile
– Last year the rewards were the Mario hat and Doc Louis’s Punch-Out!!

3DS

– Brian was blown away by it
– Craig starting to believe it’ll be out by Christmas this year because people are ready to move on to the next thing, people want it
– Brian thinks it could have the best launch of any system
– Maybe Nintendo will bring out the 3D version of Luigi’s Mansion
– Craig doesn’t know how anyone can defend the original Kid Icarus, but he’s excited for Uprising
– Craig describes the gameplay trailer of Uprising as Star Fox but you can land
– Brian wasn’t a fan of Steel Diver
– Nintendo really wanted people to try out Steel Diver at E3
– Animal Crossing 3DS looks different for a change, character models look a little grown up, textures are high-res
– You’re the mayor in Animal Crossing 3DS
– Rolling log world works really well in 3D

Dragon Quest IX

– No random battles
– Craig enjoyed the multiplayer mode
– Can be in any part of your friend’s world
– Game gets so much better when playing with others, but the single-player is fun

Reader question

– It isn’t implied that Tag Mode is used to download games, but it could push data to the system and notify you about new releases

– At this year’s E3, Scribblenauts was actually invisible and not hidden away unlike last year
