Better late than never, right?!

Cave Story 3D

– Not playable in 3D yet
– Polygonal elements
– View is shifted a bit as you run
– Not confirming many m potential features
– Coming out this summer
– Pixel overseeing the project
– Very much the classic game, just redone in 2.5D
– Backgrounds move differently
– Used the d-pad

Pokemon Black/White

– Podcast crew likes the game
– Dev. team sped up the battles
– Damage is recognized quicker
– Dynamic camera actually makes a big difference
– Still kind an old look, but dynamic camera helps
– Uses the “beep” calls for Pokemon because Masuda wants to keep them in
– Masuda says he doesn’t want Pokemon to sound like the anime (Pikachu actually saying “Pikachu”) since it was the anime’s invention and wants to keep the worlds separate
– Masuda interviews on the way
– Coming out close to the 3DS launch

Pokemon/consoles

– Masuda laughed really hard and basically said “no” when asked about main Pokemon series coming to consoles
– Masuda provided great answers for IGN’s interview, was very open
– Masuda thinks consoles are more suited for party games

General

– LEGO Pirates 3DS announced this week
– IGN were told to wait to see how many units the game sells on PS3/360 when asked about Mortal Kombat for 3DS/PC/Arcade
– Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition reprint coming
– Reprint is on March 13
– IGN’s Dragon Quest VI review coming
– IGN video interview with Yuji Hori will be up soon
