Nintendo will be promoting the upcoming launch of Splatoon on May 15 with a special celebrity event. Teams of celebrities will participate in “Splatoon Mess Fest”, which will have them navigating a massive ink-filled obstacle course inspired by the game. Events will be inspired by elements found in Splatoon.
Just one celebrity has been confirmed thus far: Disney’s Joey Bragg from Liv and Maddie. Nintendo will announce additional celebrities in the future, and information will be shared on how fans can win a chance to participate in Splatoon Mess Fest soon.
Splatoon Mess Fest will take place on the Santa Monica Pier, the traditional end of historic Route 66, between 11 AM and 7 PM. The public can stop by and watch the proceedings. Additionally, attendees can go hands on with Splatoon’s Turf War multiplayer mode, and T-shirts will be available while supplies last.
