Phantom Breaker: Omnia “Spicy Edition” update out now, patch notes and trailer
A significant update has come to Phantom Breaker: Omnia, which is known as the “Spicy Edition”.
Two new announcers have been added with volume settings. There are a bunch of other additions as well, plus balance adjustments and more.
The full patch notes for the Phantom Breaker: Omnia “Spicy Edition” update are as follows:
General
- Added 2 new types of Announcer voices: “Spicy” and “Extra Spicy” along with Announcer volume settings.
- Refined translations of Simplified Chinese Story Mode text have been implemented.
- Fixed some text/voice inconsistencies in Story Mode.
- Added character command list display on Training Mode’s pause menu.
- Added a quick reset feature for changing characters and stages on Training Mode.
- Added the ability to unmap action buttons on controllers.
- Added new Spicy achievements!
- Duelists that manage to achieve the highest rank of 999 will now have the opportunity to grow even further with new “Burning” ranks! Every max rank achieved will award you a Burning rank on your profile card so that others can see the fire in your heart is burning!
- Added a new daily BP bonus for Ranked Matches.
- Added the ability to choose to rematch on Versus Mode.
- Added the ability to rematch in Online matches. Three options are available: rematch with same characters and stage, rematch starting from character selection, and end the match. Ranked Match rematches have a maximum of 3 rematches.
- Added multi-language chat functionality to Player Match rooms.
- Added the ability to replay movies from the gallery’s Story CG tab.
General (Gameplay)
- For Quick Style and Hard Style, reduced the opponent knockback distance when clashing during Counter Burst and Reflection.
- The cross-over animation that occurs when dashing into an opponent no longer occurs when dashing under an opponent in the air.
- An air throw can now be performed with an up-forward directional input as well.
- For Quick Style and Hard Style, the auto gauge increase rate while in full Tension Gauge is now doubled, matching that of Omnia Style.
Bugs
- Fixed an issue where the combo counter and combo proration do not reset after meeting certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue where the damage of Counter Burst and Critical Burst are applied to a different attack.
- Fixed an issue where the character is not stunned even when the stun effect is displayed.
- For Omnia Style, fixed an issue where the Burst Gauge decreases when a clash occurs during Counter Burst.
- The Guard Break value now resets every new round.
- Fixed an issue where the Burst Gauge consumption from using Emergency Mode was not correctly reflected on the back end.
- The CPU now correctly guards an attack when performing a guard point attack even if it is set to not guard any attacks.
