Pokemon Legends: Z-A has series’ weakest mainline launch since Pokemon: Let’s Go in Europe
Pokemon Legends: Z-A seems to be off to a solid start in terms of worldwide sales, but in Europe specifically, things are on the slower side.
We’re hearing that the game’s launch sales are 28 percent lower than Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Z-A had the lowest debut for a mainline entry since Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eveee in 2018.
There could be a few reasons for this, but Pokemon Legends: Z-A has been pushed primarily as a Nintendo Switch 2 game. Over in the UK, we know that sales have actually been higher on the new console than on Nintendo Switch 1.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Pokemon Legends: Z-A had sold over 5.8 million copies worldwide in its first week. The Pokemon Company reported a similar sales split between both Nintendo platforms.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch worldwide. Check out our review here.
