Pokemon Pokopia reveals Nintendo Switch 2 release date

Out of nowhere, Pokemon Pokopia has received its release date. The game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026.

Pokemon Pokopia was previously announced during a Nintendo Direct in September. Last we heard, it was due out sometime in 2026.

Here’s a bit of information about the game:

Play as a Ditto to shape an empty land into a beautiful home for a variety of Pokémon. There’s so much to do, including collecting berries, rocks and wood, building furniture, growing vegetables in fields you’ve tilled, creating homes for Pokémon you meet, and more.

It seems that The Pokemon Company is doubling down on news for the game this week. While they’re sharing the release date today, a new trailer is coming on Thursday, which will be about ten minutes long. You’ll be able to watch it below.

As one final piece of news, a distribution for the title has already been received. Players will be able to obtain a special Ditto rug via Mystery Gift until January 31, 2027. Note that it can be received through regular gameplay as well.
