Pokemon Rodeo

Details have leaked regarding an unreleased Pokemon game, which goes by the codename Rodeo. The project may or may not still be in development.

Pokemon Rodeo is an online co-op Pokemon battling game. The title revolves around riding and defeating rampaging creatures. One leaked image shows the ability to customize your Pokemon with paint marks.

Here’s some of the photos that have surfaced:

There’s been a little bit of uncertainty as to what this game actually is. Rodeo was in development since at least 2019, and details seem to match up with what was said about codename Synapse, which was first discussed when the Game Freak hack / leak began. One possibility is that Rodeo was cancelled, but the concept is being re-used by ILCA / Game Freak under the new codename Synapse, meaning a new version of Rodeo could still be in the works. However, that’s just speculation at the moment.

Pokemon Rodeo was in development for Switch and mobile at one point. Whether the title actually ends up launching remains to be seen – whether in its original state, under Synapse, or something else entirely.

You can find details about the Game Freak hack / leak including the original Synapse tidbits here. A few clips of Rodeo can be found here.
