Pokemon Sword and Shield Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow distribution to be held at GameStop / Target

More distributions for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are on the way to GameStop and Target, with players having the opportunity to obtain Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow. This applies to fans in North America and Europe – those in Australia and New Zealand can participate at their local JB Hi-Fi. Stores will be handing out codes for the Mythical Pokemon.
Below are the full distribution dates:
Genesect and Volcanion
US: GameStop (October 16–29, 2022)
Canada: GameStop (October 16–29, 2022)
Australia and New Zealand: JB Hi-Fi (October 21 – November 18, 2022)
Marshadow
US: Target (October 30 – November 12, 2022)
Canada: GameStop (October 30 – November 12, 2022)
Australia and New Zealand: JB Hi-Fi (October 21 –November 18, 2022)
After visiting GameStop / Target, follow the steps below to add Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow to Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield with the code card distribution:
- Launch Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield
- Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
- Select Get a Mystery Gift.
- Select Get with Code/Password to save your game and connect to the internet.
- Enter your code or password.
- Watch as the gift arrives in your game. (Pokemon will appear in your party or your Pokémon Boxes while Items will appear in your Bag.)
- Be sure to save your game.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are currently available on Switch.
