Prison Architect getting “The Shovel” update soon on Switch, patch notes
Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven have announced that Prison Architect will be receiving “The Shovel” update soon on Switch. It lets players enhance their prisons with visitation booths, art deco walls, and more.

- 2 new Floor tiles
- 30 new Objects

Bug Fixes
Escape Mode Updates
- Fixed an issue where sectors were not being calculated properly due to the automated wall placement.
- Dealer Indicators now remain on screen when mission criteria have been met.
- Fixed an issue where ‘Name In The Game’ characters didn’t display in the inmate creator.
- Modified the New Game/Continue flow to get players into the game quicker.
- Changed the requirements of certain titles based on player feedback.
- Fixed an issue with titles overrunning on the ‘Results’ screen in certain languages.
- The Power Station on Paradise City will now reboot after being repaired.
- The Regime icon is now hidden when being pursued by guards to increase screen space.
- Added the following options:
- Disable Escape Advisors
- Sprint Method (Toggle or Hold)
- Sprint Stick (Left or Right stick)
Base Game Updates
- Updated the game icon.
- Modified the New Game/Continue flow to get players into the game quicker.
- New objects will display a “New!” icon in the carousel.
- Removed Doors, Door Control, and Surveillance items from the ‘Objects’ carousel.
- Removed Walls and Doors from the ‘Structure’ carousel.
- Fixed a bug where the price of a water tile was displayed twice.
- Made the Options menu scrollable.
- Updated the game credits.
- Corrected some typos.
