Shin Megami Tensei V daily demon vol. 124 – Atavaka

We have another demon trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V that puts the spotlight on the creature known as Atavaka. It’s one of the franchise’s older creatures as it first appeared in Shin Megami Tensei II. It has since shown up in various titles Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne as well as Persona 4 and Persona 5 Royal.

Atavaka (“lord of the forest” in Sanskrit), or Daigensui Myo-O in Japanese, used to be a child-eating demon until he received Buddha’s enlightenment. He then became one of the Yaksha Kings and vassal to Bishamonten, as well as the protector god of the southwest.
