Another demon trailer has come in for Shin Megami Tensei V, with Atlus now offering up a close look at the creature known as Koumokuten. It has appeared in a few different games, including Megami Tensei II, Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei III, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Persona 3, Persona 5, and more.
Over on the Megami Tensei Wiki, the site provides a little bit of extra information about Koumokuten. Read the brief overview for the creature below.
Koumokuten, also known as Virūpākṣa in Sanskrit, is the guardian deity that protects the west of Buddha’s realm. His name means “vast/all-seeing eyes.” He has red skin and leads the troop of Nagas, the lesser snake-man gods. Some statues have him carry a Pasha which works similar to a lasso for capturing running target. Many of his attributes are very similar to Varuna, who happens to be the guardian of the west in Lokapala.
As for the new demon trailer for Koumokuten in Shin Megami Tensei V, we’ve included it below.
Shin Megami Tensei V will be available exclusively for Switch on November 12. You can find all of the game’s demon trailers thus far and general coverage on the game here.
