Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition reveals release date, first trailer

SEGA has just provided an update on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The game is slated for December 4, 2025.

Numerous technical upgrades are included here compared to the Nintendo Switch version. Fans can look forward to a higher resolution, improved frame rate, and sharper graphics.

As for the game itself, here’s some information about it:

Race across land, sea, air, and space in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn.
Speed to victory solo or as a team in a variety of offline and online modes and compete against players from around the world. Build the ultimate vehicle to match your racing style, unlock gadgets to gain the upper hand, and unleash power-up items to bring home the win!

Note that the release date only applies to the digital version – the physical release is coming in early 2026. If you own the Nintendo Switch version, you can grab the Upgrade Pack, which will be 50 percent off until December 10. Also, owners of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will receive the Werehog Pack as a bonus until December 17, 2025.
