Stardew Valley 1.7 content update

Stardew Valley fans will be happy to hear that a version 1.7 update has now been announced.

Technically, the news was shared last night – but only to a select few. The Symphony of Seasons concert tour is currently underway, and during a performance, ConcernedApe shared the announcement. That has now been passed along by the developer on social media.

This is actually all we know about the Stardew Valley 1.7 update. There’s no information about what it’ll include or when it’ll release. However, fans can be rest assured that “it’s happening”.

It’s been about a year since version 1.6 landed on Nintendo Switch. It was pretty massive, bringing along new content, changes, and fixes with new festivals and events, a “mastery” system, new NPCs, and so much more. You can read about that here.

ConcernedApe previously spoke about the decision to make all of the game’s updates free. Money doesn’t seem to be a motivating factor – instead “people loving the game” is what’s important. We have the developer’s full comments here.

Stardew Valley is currently available on Nintendo Switch worldwide. Let us know if you’re looking forward to the new update in the comments.
