Story-driven Metroidvania platformer Clunky Hero coming to Switch

Nicola Piovesan took Clunky Hero to Kickstarter a few months ago in hopes of receiving funding for Clunky Hero, a story-driven Metroidvania platformer. Fans did support the project and close to €15,025 was raised in total. The campaign missed out on a Switch stretch goal, but it looks like a release on Nintendo’s console has been secured in any case.

Clunky Hero is a story-driven, platformer Metroidvania game, with a touch of RPG and tons of humor. If you’d love a platformer game where you have a strong storyline, can talk with characters, solve side quests, find and buy items, change weapons and wearables, with great hand-drawn-looking backgrounds, presented in a very comical way, then Clunky Hero might be the game of your dreams!
The game is initially targeted for release in Spring 2021. It’s unclear when the Switch version will be made available, but hopefully it won’t be terribly long after the PC launch.
