Super Mario RPG is just about to get a big remake on Switch, and Nintendo has now lifted the official embargo on reviews. It’s the company’s last big release of 2023.
Super Mario RPG originally came out on the SNES, and the development team decided to fully upgrade the visuals. There are also some new elements this time around such as cinematics, the three-character Triple Move, powered-up bosses that can be challenged after beating the game, an updated soundtrack, and more.
As for the actual game, it involves saving Star Road and stopping Smithy Gang. It comes with classic turn-based RPG battles with button timing.
