Super Nintendo World’s Donkey Kong Country area opening date set for December in Japan
The new Donkey Kong Country area at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan now has an opening date. Today, it was confirmed that the park will be ready to go on December 11, 2024.
The Donkey Kong Country area will connect with the already-available Super Mario Land section. There are various things to see and do here. Aside from the previously-announced mine cart rollercoaster, visitors can play a rhythm-based activity with two other people, scan the “KONG” letters with their Power-Up Band, eat and drink at Jungle Beat Shakes, and purchase exclusive merchandise at the store.
Of course, there’ll be cameos from Donkey Kong characters as well. Aside from Donkey Kong himself, today’s Nintendo Direct showed Rambi, Cranky, Squawks, and Dixie Kong.
Super Nintendo World will also open in May 2024 in Universal Epic Universe park at Universal Orlando Resort. We have more details about that here. Also, in case you missed today’s Nintendo Direct for the theme park, we’ve got that here.
