Original (9/17): More than a year after it was announced, A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection now has a release date on Switch. An eShop listing pins it down for October 17, 2023.
A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection includes the original NES game Trouble on Blobolonia plus the Game Boy title The Rescue of Princess Blobette. Fans will be able to play through the US and Japanese versions of both games. Other features include a music player, save states, and aesthetic options / filters.

Limited Run Games has shared details about the A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection physical release on Switch. This was first announced last June, but little information was shared at the time.
A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection will have a standard version on Switch plus a Classic Edition. The latter includes a set of retro cart keychains, a double pack of soundtracks, and both titles in a Game Boy-shaped throwback box.

A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection is coming to Switch, Ziggurat Interactive has announced.
The original A Boy and His Blob will be included along with The Rescue of Princess Blobette for Game Boy. More specifics weren’t revealed, though we know it’s being made with the Carbon Engine.
