Microids and Pastagames have shared more details about the cross-play Battle Royale mode for Arkanoid Eternal Battle and we also have news about a limited edition.

Arkanoid: Eternal Battle was announced last year, and while we were unsure about platforms at the time, Switch seemed likely. We now have confirmation that the game will indeed be released on Nintendo’s console.

Microids is teaming up with Taito on a new project, with the two sides today announcing Arkanoid: Eternal Battle. French studio Pastagames, whose previous work includes the likes of Rayman Legends, Pang Adventures and Pix the Cat, is handling development.

Arkanoid: Eternal Battle is a new take on the classic arcade block breaker game. It’ll come with a variety of solo and multiplayer mode, and Microids has teased the return of classic elements along with “new effects, bonuses, and features guaranteed to take veteran players by surprise”.
