Arcade Archives Rezon

Hamster will release Rezon on Switch as the latest Arcade Archives title, the company has confirmed. It’s due out worldwide on April 6, 2023.

Rezon, which was made by Allumer, first debuted in 1991. It’s a side-scrolling shoot ’em up that’s reminiscent of R-Type. The game takes place on Earth as players defend the planet from an alien invasion. Across six stages, players control the SR-91 space fighter. Note that Rezon is known for its tough difficulty.

Arcade Archives Rezon will be available via the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Arcade Archives Navarone

Hamster is bringing Navarone to Switch as its latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. It will be available on March 30, 2023 worldwide.

Navarone, which was made by Namco, first came out in 1980. It’s a shooter where players destroy certain targets while moving around the perimeter of the stage, but the indestructible turrets means they have to dodge quite a bit as well.

Arcade Archives Bonze Adventure

Hamster is bringing Bonze Adventure to Switch this week as its latest Arcade Archives game, the company has announced. It will be available on March 23, 2023.

Bonze Adventure officially launched for the arcades in 1998. Learn more about it below.

Hamster has announced that it will make 3D Thunder Scepter II available as its latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. It’s due out tomorrow on March 16. A shooter first released in 1986 by Namco, the game is particularly notable for being one of the first to utilise stereoscopic 3D in the arcade, although this is not a feature that will be supported in the Switch release. The game sees players moving through a variety of stages to safely reach the Federation Military Base.

Arcade Archives Sky Kid DX

Hamster will release Arcade Archives Sky Kid Deluxe on Switch this week, the company has announced. A worldwide release is planned for March 2, 2023.

Sky Kid DX, which was made by Namco, launched in 1986 – just a year after the original game (in fact that one is on the eShop right now). It’s a shooter featuring new missions, new enemies, and more. Local co-op is also supported again.

Arcade Archives Don Doko Don

Don Doko Don is the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, and thanks to Hamster, we have new gameplay. Once again, the company showed off the release during a live stream this week.

Here’s a bit of information about the game:

Hamster has announced that it will make Dondokodon available as its latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. It’s due out at the end of this week on February 24. The action game was first released by Taito in 1989, and sees the player progressing through various stages as a carpenter named Bob and his companion Jim, which the objective of rescuing the captive king and princess.
