Gameplay has come in for The Epyx Games: Sports Collection, which was only announced for Nintendo Switch a few days ago and just launched. A collection of Epyx retro classics are included in the digital package.

The Epyx Games: Sports Collection

Pixel Games is about to release The Epyx Games: Sports Collection on Nintendo Switch, the company revealed today. It’s slated for November 28, 2024.

The Epyx Games: Sports Collection brings eight classic retro sports titles to the console. Players can relive over 50 different athletic and sporting events across the various titles in the remastered collection, including the best-seller California Games (1987).

Cash Cow DX

Cash Cow DX is heading to Switch, publisher Flynn’s Arcade and developer Pixel Games announced today. A release is scheduled for September 26, 2024.

Cash Cow DX is an arcade-inspired title inspired by experiences from the 80s. Players will go on a journey to recover their riches from the greedy Pig Pockets.

Epyx Rogue

Pixel Games just shared the news that it’s putting Epyx Rogue on Switch, and it’s arriving imminently. The title is due out tomorrow, July 18,

Epyx Rogue brings back the classic game made by Michael Toy and Glenn Wichman in 1980. Imagine Software now made an updated version with display filters, achievements, leaderboards, and more.

The Epyx Collection Handheld

According to an eShop listing, The Epyx Collection: Handheld will soon be made available on Switch. This marks another classic release from Pixel Games.

Blue Lightning, California Games, Electrocop, Gates of Zendocon, Todd’s Adventures in Slime World, and Zarlor Mercenary are a part of the collection. Features include display filters, save and restore points, and right- and left-handed control presets.

Donut Dodo physical

Pix’n Love, along with Flynn’s Arcade, today announced plans for a physical release of Donut Dodo on Switch.

Fans will be able to pick up a standard version or Day One Edition, limited to 2,500 copies and 500 units respectively. The Day One Edition includes an illustrated game manual, a keychain, the soundtrack on mini-CD, a reversible cover, and an exclusive sleeve.

The Monty Mole Collection

A series of Monty Mole games were released throughout the 80s, and the full lineup has been bundled together on Switch via The Monty Mole Collection. It actually had an under the radar launch just recently in North America, but will be available worldwide on January 11, 2024.

The Monty Mole Collection includes Wanted! Monty Mole, Monty on the Run, Auf Wiedersehen Monty, and Moley Christmas. Also available is the bonus game Sam Stoat: Safebreaker with Monty’s partner in crime Sam Stoat. The package features Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum versions of each title, display filters including an 80s-style CRT filter, suspend points, and the ability to rewind up to ten seconds of live gameplay.

Chip's Challenge

After it originally launched in 1989, Chip’s Challenge is now heading to Switch. It’s slated for January 25, 2024 on Nintendo’s console.

Chip’s Challenge first appeared on the Atari Lynx before heading elsewhere. Pixel Games is now readying the Switch port of the puzzle title, which will now support display features, save and restore functionality, and right- and left-handed control presets.

Hidden Gems Volume One

Pixel Games has announced its debut Switch release Hidden Gems: Volume One, which will include four classic Commodore 64 games. It will be available tomorrow, September 28.

Hidden Gems: Volume One, developed by Imagine Software, comes with N.O.M.A.D., Gilligan’s Gold, Mutant Monty, and Horace Goes Skiing. The collection also has display filter options (including a 1980s-style CRT filter), save and restore points (up to four), and the ability to rewind up to ten seconds of live gameplay.

Donut Dodo gameplay

Fresh gameplay has emerged for Donut Dodo. The lighthearted arcade game, from Flynn’s Arcade and Pixel Games, released on Switch this week.
