Nine Sols physical

Following up on its digital launch not too long ago, Nine Sols will be receiving the physical treatment on Nintendo Switch. That news comes from Fangamer, the company in charge of production.

Nine Sols will be sold physically in both North America and Europe. We’re waiting on more of the specifics, but fans can currently sign up to be notified about availability here.

A fresh launch trailer is in for Nine Sols to celebrate the new Nintendo Switch debut. The hand-drawn 2D action-platformer with Sekiro-inspired deflection focused combat comes from Red Candle Games, known for Detention.

Red Candle Games just set a release date for Nine Sols. The game, a side-scrolling action platformer, heads to Switch on November 26, 2024.

Nine Sols was first revealed for Switch in 2022. It came to PC this year, but we’ve been waiting on the console versions – which are now too too far away.

Nine Sols

Red Candle Games, the studio behind Detention, opened a new crowdfunding campaign this week for Nine Sols. The funding goal of roughly $105,900 has already been reached, and the project is tentatively planned for Switch.

As far as systems are concerned, Red Candle Games explained that it’s planning release on “both the Nintendo and Sony consoles.” But porting won’t begin until the game’s development is nearing its end, “and due to the fact that Nine Sols’ development is in between console generations, it is difficult to provide a definitive list of supported platforms at the moment.” However, the team already has a Switch devkit.

A few weeks ago, a rating for Detention was found for Switch in Taiwan. Coconut Island Games has now made the news official.

Detention is a 2D atmospheric horror side-scroller in which two students are trapped in a high school and need to find a way to escape. We’ve once again included more in-depth information below and a trailer for those who missed it the first time around.

Detention has been rated for Switch in Taiwan. Because of that, we can probably assume that it’s coming to the console.
