The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon coming to Nintendo Switch 2
The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon will release on Nintendo Switch 2, NIS America and Falcon just announced. This is in addition to the previously-confirmed Nintendo Switch version.
All versions of the RPG are also seeing a delay. The game heads to all platforms in January 2026.
Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo said of the news:
“With the power of the Nintendo Switch 2, we expect players to have an even more enjoyable experience. In fact, this will mark the debut of the Trails series on the Nintendo Switch 2, and I personally have high expectations for it. Please continue to look forward to the release!”
Here’s an overview of the game:
Van Arkride and the members of Arkride Solutions are back, and this time the future of the entire Zemurian continent is at stake! The people of Zemuria await the launch of humanity’s first foray into space with bated breath. A sudden invitation from Marduk to cooperate in a high-tech training exercise sets Van, Ashen Chevalier Rean Schwarzer, and Father Kevin Graham on a collision course with the secrets at the very core of Zemuria.
Their paths may diverge, but the ultimate question remains the same: Just what lies beyond the edge of the horizon?
The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon Limited Edition is also now up for pre-order here, but note that this features a game-key card. Access other Nintendo Switch 2 news here.
