The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III is coming to Switch this summer. NIS America and Falcom’s support isn’t stopping there, as it’s been announced today that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will also be released on the console.

As the RPG series continues, this will be the final entry in the Trails of Cold Steel arc. It will not feature the standard student-life setting due to what took place in the last game.

Nihon Falcom president and producer Toshihiro Kondo said of the title:

“This title holds an important place as the end of the Cold Steel series and the mid-point of an overall story that began with Trails in the Sky. We’ve hinted at various mysteries since Trails in the Sky and all of those related to the Erebonian Empire will be revealed here.”

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV launches on Switch in 2021. NIS America will be offering a “day one” edition called the Frontline edition as well as a limited edition.
