Video: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS4 vs. Steam Deck graphics comparison

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade just got a demo on Nintendo Switch 2 yesterday, and now that we have extended footage, graphics comparisons have started to emerge – including one that shows it running up against the PS4 and Steam Deck.

Overall, it looks like Square Enix is coming out with one of the better Nintendo Switch 2 ports thus far. The game runs at 1080p and at 30 frames per second. While that resolution is lower than the PS4, it has the graphical improvements that PS5 received. Nintendo Switch 2 has advantages over PS4 Pro with lighting courtesy of more light points, more shadows, volumetric fog, and more.

Also worth noting, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade runs pretty much the same whether you’re played docked or handheld on Nintendo Switch 2. Some games have scaled back graphical effects when on the go, but at least so far, we’re not seeing much of that here.
