Wargroove planned for the second half of 2018
Chucklefish has provided an update on the release window of Wargroove. In an interview with PCGamesN, Chucklefish designer and artist Jay Baylis mentioned that it’s on track to launch in the second half of this year.
Baylis said the following about wanting to offer fans “a huge package”:
“It’s taken some time, we really want it to be a huge package. If it stands alone in a robust package then people appreciate that even if the art seems retro and simplistic. Also I think [fans] appreciate the kind of games we make because they know a Chucklefish game is something which has a lot of content and a lot of value.”
Baylis also spoke about Wargroove’s campaign creation feature, which he hopes will be easy to use:
“Yeah, hopefully. You just paint on the tiles – like draw it on – drop the little units down, launch that, and send it to your friends. It can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.”
“On launch we’ll have a cutscene editor, where you can direct cutscenes, and an animation editor with dialogue and emotes and stuff. But you don’t have to do that, you can just map a map and send it to your friends.”
