Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition had series’ second-highest debut in Japan
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is off to a pretty good start in Japan. As reported by Famitsu a couple of days ago, the game sold about 91,000 units in its first week. That actually makes it the series’ second-highest debut to date.
Here’s a breakdown of first week sales for all of the Xenoblade releases in Japan:
– Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – 97,000
– Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – 91,000
– Xenoblade Chronicles X – 89,000
– Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) – 79,000
– Xenoblade Chronicles (New 3DS) – 44,000
Time will tell if Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will surpass one million units sold worldwide like Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It might be a bit more difficult since this game has technically appeared on multiple platforms, but it’s certainly doable.
