Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom confirms amiibo support with details

There was a little bit of speculation within the Zelda community about this previously, but Nintendo recently made it official that Echoes of Wisdom will support amiibo. That news comes from the official Japanese website.

Using a compatible figure will have a couple of effects. First, amiibo can provide items that can be used on your adventure. Nintendo also teased that you might be able to get different colors of clothing with an amiibo in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Essentially, every single Zelda amiibo will work. That includes figures made for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, ones from the Smash Bros., series, and more. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but non-amiibo Zelda figures will not be compatible.

As far as we know, Nintendo won’t be making any new amiibo for the game. Link did get a special figure for the launch of Link’s Awakening a few years back, and some were hoping that Zelda herself would have something new here. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case. However, as we shared on social media few days back, Nintendo will be reprinting the Link’s Awakening figure and Zelda: Wind Waker amiibo – they’re currently up at Best Buy here and GameStop here.
