Correct me if I’m wrong, but did they visually update the game in any way for this?

From the initial reveal, looks like no. But gameplay is way better than Wii U and graphics are way better than 3DS.

It’ll be “up to 1080p” when docked, which I assume either means it’ll shift during gameplay or we’ll have the option of going 720p/60 fps like with Fire Emblem Warriors.

If there are performance improvements, I’ll bite.

I would bet on it having a 1080p mode with unlocked fos and a 720p60 mode, like FE Warriors

I’m not betting on it, but I’m hoping for it.
Also hoping we can switch out characters mid battle like the 3DS game.

It’s so retarded they put the map twice during split screen.

    • Narutard01

That’s probably so each player can zoom in on their individual maps instead of having only one fully zoomed out map.

      • JasonBall

I don’t recall maps zooming in

        • Narutard01

The only version of HW that I played was the Legends one, so I’m not 100% on that, but from every Warriors game that I’ve played (Fire Emblem, Berserk, Pirate Warriors, All Stars, etc) you always have a dedicated button to make the map zoom in on your character/cursor.
(Now that I think about it, I think that you could actually zoom the maps on Legends.)

          • JasonBall

Huh, never knew that. It’s so useless anyways, you’d always wanna see map control and keep locations, never individual tiny areas. I swear Omega Force has the dumbest ideas just for the sake of having game features.

          • Narutard01

Welp, not really. It’s really useful when you’re far away from the screen and you can’t really see the map layout clearly thanks to the amount of enemies (red dots). When I’m traversing through the maps in musou games, I usually only look at the map, since sometimes the environment in the maps has way too many objects, it kinda misleads me on where I should go (true story btw).

          • JasonBall

But if you’re using the map to find your way from one place to another (like we all do don’t worry) why wouldn’t you want to see all the map at once?

          • Narutard01

Like I said, when you’re far from the screen (depending on the screen size) sometimes it’s hard to make out the map layout, that’s why I zoom in, so I can see where’s the entrance and other paths to the forts. If I could I would always use the full map, and remember, this game is for the Switch, so if you play it on the handheld/tabletop mode, the map will be very hard to read (sometimes while playing through FEW on tabletop mode I need to pause the game just to see the map clearly)
EDIT: If I’m not mistaken, even if you zoom in on the map, whenever there’s an active mission, the map zooms out for a bit so you have an idea of where you need to go next and then zooms in automatically

I hope this supports LAN, but it probably won’t. : (

So Link and Zelda have the same faces in the BotW costumes? That’s kinda a shame. Although looking back now I think they did the same face with the costumes they had from the other games too.
