New FIFA 18 Switch footage

Posted on August 22, 2017 by (@NE_Brian) in Switch, Videos

During the Twitch Gamescom stream earlier today, EA stopped by to show off the Switch version of FIFA 18. Technically, this is the first direct-feed footage we have of the game as opposed to it being off-screen. Check out the gameplay below.

Glad to see publishers are still making PS3 games in 2017. Oh, wait, no…

If you had a portable PS3 would you be happy? Or would that somehow affect your self worth

Whats with the PS4 or Xbox fanboys coming to troll on Nintendo News sites lately?

I’m guessing it’s got something to do with not wanting anything but the console they purchased to do well for some reason? Not really sure tbh

I’m saying the Switch can do better than this. But EA clearly doesn’t care.

You all need to calm down and not be so much on the defensive.

The game doesn’t look good, that’s all.

This is what happen when EA got no competition. They got the resource to make the frostbite ver. runs on switch (hell, lots of my pals plays fifa 17 pc on low and switchs more than capable to play 720p at medium) but they EA won’t bother. i’m hoping Konami would make a pes for switch so they’ll compete with each other.

Looks nice and smooth. I am not a Fußball fan myself (I know, as a Brazilian that is hard to explain), but looks a good game to play with some friends.

I’m not a fan of soccer, but after looking at the direct footage of FIFA 18 Nintendo Switch Edition… I was deeply impressed. Not ground breaking, but deeply impressed. Way to go, Electronic Arts. Let’s all hope for a MADDEN football title to be released on the Big N’s hybrid platform.

Looks like FIFA 16 on the PS4 (a.k.a. pre-Frostbite FIFA) which is good enough for a game that is played from a bird’s eye perspective.

I’m not into FIFA, but if I was, I’d buy this version over the other console versions.

    Yep, I’ll be buying it.

Not sure why people are making a big deal about this compared to the PS4/XO versions… it looks practically the same. The 3D models are just as photorealistic, the gameplay is virtually unchanged (although, what is there to change in a sports simulator?), so aside from wrinkles on their clothes and physics applied to their shorts in the Frostbite version, everything else remains virtually unchanged.

I think the switch can do better than this visually but we do have to remember majority of the gameplay are wide shots.

    Those cold, dead eyes though
