Hey, that’s much better than expected. Obviously the 3DS version most likely sold the most by a sizable amount. I didn’t touch that version, but I did enjoy the Wii U version, regardless of its many flaws.

It seem that both sold like 50-50, but with the 3DS wiith “positive” difference.

    Which one should I buy?

I’ve heard absolute nightmare stories about the 3DS version, but I cannot confirm their legitimacy.

I’d suggest going for the Wii U verision; because it has free dlc, Looks good in HD, and the levels don’t drag on as much as the 3DS version.

both have different level designs anyway?

once sony goes bankrupt from all their debt and microsoft pulls out the gaming industry can be more solid its stretched too many ways

    • MechZilla

Seems like a good dream for sure, but with the amount of consoles they are selling it seems unlikely they will pull out. Even though Sony has lost ALOT of money lately and have sold off everything but PlayStation which is one of the few areas they are making some money back(game wise, i think they are still losing money on console)

      • MechZilla

also Big N doesnt seem to be catering to the PS or xbox audience not that its all kiddie games but more casual/family based. So even with them gone i don’t see nintendo recover all that much. Best case scenario price drop the wiiu yes i know lose money on it but a bigger install base means chances for some 3rd parties to come back even though most 3rd party games sux(EA, sports specifically) they need to fill in the gaps of 1st party releases and indie games are not enough to close that gap i dont think

        • D2K

Even though the PS4 is ripping it up in sales, because of all debt amassed it’s tossing cup-fulls of dirt into the Grand Canyon to try and fill it up. The PS4 is the only good thing they have right now.

I agree with you that Sony has the core gamers demographic that drives the industry in the palms of their hands. None of the big three have a good balance. Sony and Microsoft are too focused on the core and Nintendo is too focused on the casual.

Even if Sony folds as a corporation the PlayStation brand is too lucrative to just pass away. Someone like Amazon, Apple or perhaps even Disney could step in to buy the PlayStation brand.

Looking at what Disney allowed to happen in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 film Easter egg, that shows me that they are serious about scooping up everything they can.

          • MechZilla

IMO it would be hard for one company to try to appeal to everyone considering the mass appeal for the wii was geared toward casual gamers. My vision of the future in an ideal world Nintendo swallows up Playstation brand and then u have the the best of both worlds sadly that probably will never happen

      • Nocturne

actually sony just uped their planned losses for 2014 from 1 billion to 1.2 billion and it was on the news that sony is failing and selling parts to try and remove the debt

        • MechZilla

Yes that is accurate yet what do we see from any gaming article? doom and gloom of nintendo losing money even though they are standing better than sony right now
