The videos above come from Digital Foundry’s latest technical investigation focusing on Super Mario 3D World. As shown in the footage, 3D World offers a rock solid 60 frames per second and “clean visuals”. You can check out Digital Foundry’s full piece here.

    I love facts… :D

In World Flower – 9, if you have the Lucky Cat Suit and go up to the very tall Goomba Tower and transform into a statue, the frame rate will drop as all the Goombas drop down on you.

      wow, very specific hahahaha

That is nice that frame rate is consistent.

Impressive. Developers should take note. Personally, I have not experience a frame rate drop. Not even in four player co-op. And if I did, it was not noticeable.

Seriously, we barely get same-couch multiplayer anymore in other games, not even racing games (Burnout!). Developers are way too busy focusing on making a pretty game than something that runs smooth and allows multiplayer.

Very true. People bash on Nintendo for not making games have online multiplayer, but I rather have local than online. In ten or twenty years, I can still play a game with local multiplayer and have fun with it. A game where the fun is in online multiplayer will be worthless in a few decades or maybe years.
