[Let’s Talk] Pokemon Sun/Moon starters and more
Short site update I want to sneak in here: we still have a comic coming this weekend, and it should be up tomorrow. Don’s been very busy, but he’s working extremely hard. We appreciate your patience!
It took a few months, but we finally saw the first gameplay trailer for Pokemon Sun/Moon this week. The world was shown, the mascots and boxarts were unveiled, a release date was announced, and… we have a first look at the new starter Pokemon! They are Rowlen, Litten, and Popplio.
What’s everyone making of Pokemon Sun/Moon thus far? Have you already decided on the starter you’ll be going with? Since we’ve seen the legendaries, do you have a better idea about which version you’ll be buying (or both)? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
Highlights from last week’s topic: What are you playing? – May 2016

Just beat Pokemon Yellow finally (took forever >_>’), put that away and out of boredom, started up Nano Assault Ex since I got that from the Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle.
Aside from that, went back to Star Fox Zero recently and practiced some levels to get better, but lost motivation to play again after the dreadfully boring and slow level on… Zones or something, with the Gyrowing. I just really didn’t like the Gyrowing, sadly.
Also started a run of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, but I modded it so that Roy (my fave character) promotes using a Hero’s Crest, so I don’t have to wait forever to promote him.
Now that school is over and there are hardly any Nintendo games we know about coming out in the next 7 months (especially ones that I’m interested in and haven’t already played—I already beat TMS#FE and I’m not interested in Paper Mario now that it’s not really a quality RPG series), I’ll probably focus on all my backlogged PS games along with the leftovers on my Wii U/3DS, mostly 3rd-party stuff I haven’t quite gotten to yet.
Oh yeah, I also played Earthbound Beginnings (I like to dual-play games for efficiency, and both it and Pokemon Yellow don’t take much effort or focus or so I played both concurrently), it’s fun and funny and charming (as I’d expect from the games before Earthbound and Mother 3), but… actually kinda difficult. I died plenty due to being underleveled, a little careless, and not having much luck with running away, or just… avoiding encounters in the first place. I’d often walk one step and get into an encounter… multiple times in a row! Still, it’s not so bad if I just multi-task, so I’ll likely keep playing.
Aaand that’s it for now, but I enjoy having free time for once so I can play games.
…
Oh, and I tried the Overwatch Beta, but I’m bad at FPS (not so much TPS, for whatever reason) and didn’t like it much, so I quit. XP
K, done ranting for real

I’m probably the only person still playing/hasn’t beaten Fire Emblem Birthright, and trying to get into multiple games at the same time! Started playing Animal Crossing New Leaf again and Mario Kart 8.

Just finished Twilight Princess HD the other day. I remember liking the original, but since I had the Wii version, I feel like I definitely appreciated it more this time around, just by virtue of not having to deal with motion controls.
Currently, I’m focused on Bravely Second (when I have time). The nice thing though, is I can still kinda get stuff done even when I’m busy with work. I’ve already completed Fort Lune and got all the Chompcraft upgrades just by letting the game do it’s thing while I’m doing my job. The game itself when I actually play is a blast too. I’m only on Chapter 3 so far, but I’m really loving it.
Bravely distracted me from Fire Emblem Fates though. I still need to finish my Conquest run and start Revelation when I get a chance. I’ll get back to Xenoblade X too one of these days. And Stella Glow is also sitting on my shelf and waiting very patiently for my attention. So much to play; so little time. ^_^

Picked me up some DK Tropical Freeze, and me and my friend absolutely suck at it, but it’s great fun anyway, especially when he plays grandpa kong and goes down one of the many chasms with his cane. Great fun that.
