GameStop will be selling the NES Classic Edition in-store and online next week
Retailers are gearing up for the NES Classic Edition’s restock on June 29. GameStop has come forward with a few details on how it will be handling things.
GameStop will have “at least 10 units per store,” with some locations possibly having a larger stock. Quantities will be limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Keep in mind that GameStop says it expects demand to be in line with the initial run of the NES and SNES Classic Edition. Consumers are advised to show up early if they will be picking up a unit.
Those who don’t have a GameStop nearby will be happy to hear that stock will be sold online as well. ThinkGeek’s online and physical stores will have the system, too, but it’s not clear if it will be sold individually or as part of bundles.
