Nintendo Q2 financial results: Switch at 36.87 million units sold, Mario Maker 2 sold 2.42 million in three days, more
Today, Nintendo shared the financial results for the first quarter of the current fiscal year (i.e. all data below is as of June 30, 2019). The big news are that the Nintendo Switch now had sold 36.87 million units in total, and that Super Mario Maker 2 managed to sell 2.42 million units in just three days on the market.
- Switch hardware sales were at 2.13 million this quarter (up from 1.88 million in Q1 of last year)

- Switch software sales were at 22.62 million this quarter (up from 17.96 million in Q1 of last year)

- 3DS hardware sales were at 0.2 million this quarter (down from 0.36 million in Q1 of last year)
- total 3DS hardware sales are at 75.28 million
- 3DS software sales were at 1.48 million this quarter (down from 2.95 million in Q1 of last year)
- total 3DS software sales are at 379.60 million
- Net sales: 172.111 million Yen
- Operating income: 27.428 million Yen
- Net profit: 16.604 million Yen
- Smart device IP related income: 10.005 million Yen
