Disney Classic Games Collection to include SNES version of Aladdin
New details have surfaced on Disney Classic Games Collection following a previous leak.
Previously, the ESRB rated the updated package last month. We knew that The Jungle Book was being added to the collection, but it turns out that’s not the only thing new here.
When Disney Classic Games first came to Switch in 2019, it was missing the SNES version of Capcom’s Aladdin. Now, however, that’s being added to the new collection.
Here’s the lineup of included titles for the Disney Classic Games Collection:
- Disney’s Aladdin – SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, SEGA Genesis
- Disney’s Aladdin – Final Cut: SEGA Genesis
- Disney’s Aladdin – Demo Version: SEGA Genesis
- Disney’s Aladdin – Japanese Version: SEGA Genesis
- Disney The Lion King – SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, SEGA Genesis
- Disney The Lion King – Japanese Version: SEGA Genesis
- Disney The Jungle Book – SNES, Game Boy, SEGA Genesis
The one uncertain bit concerns original owners of Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King. It’s unclear if DLC will be offered for that release or if everyone will need to purchase the new collection in order to access the new content, including the SNES version of Aladdin.
Disney Classic Games Collection is apparently lined up for release this November. Just like the previous release, it will be sold physically and digitally – check out the new boxart above.
Nighthawk Interactive and Disney should be making an official announcement soon. We’ll let you know if any additional news surfaces.
