– Game has issues with pop-in
– Scene can appear flat, barren, and lifeless from a high vantage point
– Shadows only render close to the player
– Trees visibly fade in at medium range
– Level of detail on geometry like terrain changes with a sharp pop right ahead of you
– Texture quality broadly set to a low resolution
– Materials blur visibly across the landscape
– Water uses a screen space technique for reflections, but the shaders layered over any water body flickers constantly as you walk past
– Lit cave entrances produce visual artifacts around a character showing as flickering pixels
– Pokemon Legends: Arceus has a dynamic 1080p resolution when docked
– Resolution drops to 900p at its lowest in more taxing spots
– No anti-aliasing in the game
– 720p resolution in portable mode
– Resolution is the main difference between docked and portable modes
– Only a slight drop in texture filtering quality in portable mode
– Pokemon Legends: Arceus frame rate capped to 30 FPS
– Game has a frame rate hitch when playing docked
