Another wave of PlatinumGames departures have been confirmed, including the director of Bayonetta 3. This comes courtesy of a new video from Hideki Kamiya, who previously left the company.

Takahisa Taura, the director of Astral Chain, was previously thought to have left – and that’s now confirmed. Additionally, Bayonetta 3 director Yusuke Miyata is gone. The same goes for Kenji Saito (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance director) and Masaki Yamanaka (Anarchy Reigns character designer).

That’s not all. You may recall that we previously reported on Abebe Tinari, the director of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, leaving as well.

As for Taura, it was unconfirmed that he had left PlatinumGames. However, it was strongly suggested that was the case given that “PG” was removed from his social media handle and a new “Eel Game Studio” was listed on his Facebook page. We reported on the situation here.

Kamiya, the creator of Bayonetta and more, was the first big domino to fall at PlatinumGames. He is now with his new studio Clovers and is teaming up with Capcom on an Okami sequel. As for PlatinumGames, the company recently revealed Ninja Gaiden 4, so the company still appears to be trucking along.
