Rumor: First glimpse at the Zelda movie set, possible character leak
Although not confirmed, we may have our very first look at the set for The Legend of Zelda’s live action movie.
Footage from production has apparently leaked online. Clips have spread on social media, and many believe that what’s popped up thus far is legitimate.
To backtrack a little, The Legend of Zelda movie is less than two years away. Reports recently emerged that filming is underway in New Zealand – which makes sense, because yes, the movie needs to be made at some point to hit that 2027 release date.
In one clip, we’re able to see a couple of characters with horses nearby. The first character seems to be Bo Bragason, who’s playing Zelda. The other one, however, is a bit more interesting – it looks to be Dichen Lachman, who seems to be taking on the role of Impa – Zelda’s attendant. Impa has played a big role in the series, including The Legend of Zelda – so her inclusion in the film isn’t shocking, but had not been announced previously.
In other clip, we get to see Link – but an older version of the character. We see him putting on a cloak – but that’s mostly it.
The upcoming movie for The Legend of Zelda will hit theaters in May 2027. Let us know what you make of the footage in the comments.
