AEW: Fight Forever technical analysis, including Switch frame rate and resolution
AEW: Fight Forever recently landed on a bunch of platforms including Switch, and Digital Foundry has now shared a technical analysis that goes over various aspects including frame rate and resolution.
Strictly talking about Nintendo’s console, the resolution isn’t great and the graphics have been scaled down. While that may sound disappointing, the frame rate seems to be steady which is very much important.
Here’s the full rundown:
AEW: Fight Forever tech analysis – frame rate, resolution, more
– 720p when docked
– Around 480p in portable mode
– Visuals paired way back on Switch
– Shadows are gone
– Lighting much worse compared to other platforms
– Motion blur disabled on Switch
– Fuzzy image on Switch, especially when played on a large TV
– Texture detail also scaled way back
– Better than WWE 2K18 on Switch and still playable
– Frame rate on Switch is 30 frames per second
– Mostly very stable
– Incorrect frame pacing
– Loading times can be jarring
