BitSummit 2019 Switch announcements – Chrono Sword, Coffee Talk, Shores Unknown, more

Ahead of BitSummit 2019 in Japan this month, the expo’s website has been updated with the many games that will be playable at the event. A number of new Switch titles have been confirmed as a result.
We’ve rounded up the various games highlighted on the site for Switch below. Where applicable, we’ve included overviews and trailers.
Boku Boku
Build Your World!
Boku Boku is a blocks-building game, you can use blocks to create your own world, a unique playground that is only for you.

Cake Bash
Cake Bash is a manic party game for up to four players, where the goal is to make yourself as irresistible as possible. Cover yourself in chocolate, jelly beans and all manner of sugar-studded goodies to become the tastiest cake, but watch out – your rivals will do anything to stop you, whether it’s by clouting you with a spork, knocking you into pigeon poop, or covering you in all manner of gunk!
Chrono Sword
Chrono Sword is a pixel art souls-like action adventure game with time travel. It has three main features.
– Contextual Combat
Chrono Sword has contextual actions like the Last of Us, and it makes huge difference from other souls-like games. As you learn skills and collect runes, you will be stronger and skillful. You can pierce down an enemy who is searching you or step aside to dodge and counter enemy’s attack. You can even gasp with your hand on the wall to recover your stamina when you exhausted. But instead of complex combinations of buttons, all your actions are upon you and enemy state and environment.
– Characters and Story
The whole characters, world and story of Chrono Sword are inspired by the Nordic mythology. Of course there was an unique rearrangement into a story about 4 heroes including Freyr – the heroine. She have to reclaim her memory, explore and fight the past and present of fallen world. Contrary to other games, it start for the world but end for herself.
Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk is a coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator about listening to fantasy-inspired modern peoples’ problems, and helping them by serving up a warm drink or two.
Coffee Talk is a game about listening to people’s problems and helping them by serving up a warm drink out of the ingredients you have in stock. It is a game that depicts lives as humanly as possible, while having a cast that is more than just humans.
Immerse yourself in the stories of alternative-Seattle inhabitants, ranging from a dramatic love story between an elf and a succubus, an alien trying to understand humans’ lives, and many others modern readers will find strongly echo the world around them.
The game features:
– Tales of people from an alternative-Seattle, a city where elves, orcs, mermaids, and many other fantasy races live together with humans in a modern world we will all find familiar
– Branching storylines, where the branches are determined not by the dialogue options you choose, but from how you serve your café customers
– 90’s anime-inspired pixel art visuals and chill vibes-inducing color palette help to immerse you in the game’s world
– Selection of jazzy and lo-fi music to accompany the late night warm drinks and conversations
– An experience to make you think, feel, and rest both your body and your soul
Ghostus
Project Alice
Project “Alice” is a two-platon stylish Metroidvania action in which best friends “Usada” and “Kotora” travel through a wonderland after their missing friends “Alice”. Change two characters: Usada is good at melee combat by hammer, Kotora flys around in a row with a huge gun, and explore the vast world! In the wonderland, many characters with an Alice motif appear. As you go through the story with pretty animations and illustrations, an incredibly exciting adventure will be waiting for you.

Shores Unknown is a turn-based tactical RPG with original gridless combat, rendered in a rich low-poly aesthetic.
Build your own team of mercenaries and journey beyond the seething wall of fog known only as the Murk in this decision-influenced, narrative-driven adventure.
