These games will be featured on tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Nintendo’s YouTube channels have leaked out some (if not all) of the titles set to be featured during tomorrow’s North American Nintendo Direct.
The company’s 3DS channel lists three private videos, which are actually Fire Emblem: Awakening, LEGO City: Undercover – The Chase Begins, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Thumbnails of each trailer were located through a bit of detective work.
Over at the Nintendo Direct YouTube channel, the presentation in full is set to private. But thumbnails from this video were uncovered as well, showing Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Satoru Iwata dressed with a Luigi hat, and Reggie Fils-Aime.
Nothing was located in the Wii U channel, for those who may be wondering.
So keep those expectations in check. It doesn’t sound like we’ll be getting any major announcements like last time, though maybe there will still be a surprise or two. It’ll be interesting to see if Nintendo of Europe/Japan feature additional/different content. I can’t see the Japanese stream talking much about Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem, given that the two titles have been out for some time.
Dragon Quest VII 3DS sells more than IV, V DS remakes
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, News | 0 comments
Dragon Quest VII sold a whopping 827,922 in its first week in Japan. That figure is tremendous, but one other remake has it beat: 2010’s Dragon Quest VI with 906,458 copies sold. Other recent Dragon Quest remake sales include IV with 597,301 units and V with 643,764 units.
It should be noted that Dragon Quest VI was released on the DS when the install base consisted of over 25 million users. Currently, the 3DS total stands at less than half that number in Japan.
Nintendo confirms 3DS Direct for Japan

Nintendo of Japan will join its North American and European divisions in broadcasting a new Nintendo Direct presentation. Like Europe, the Japanese stream will consist entirely of 3DS content. That leaves NOA as the only division with Wii U games.
The 3DS Direct page can be found here. As is the case with the North American and European broadcasts, the Japanese stream will begin at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT.
