Unchained Blades heading to the eShop “later in 2012”
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Unchained Blades was scheduled to arrive digitally on the 3DS and PSP this summer, but thus far only the PSP version has been given a final release date. XSEED said on Twitter today that the game will hit Sony’s handheld next Tuesday with the 3DS version coming “later in 2012”.
We’re not exactly sure what this means for the eShop release. Maybe Nintendo hasn’t told XSEED when they’ll put the game on the store. Maybe XSEED is still working on the 3DS version. For now, it’s unknown if the eShop edition will still be available this summer. The only tidbit we have is that it’ll likely cost around $29.99, as this is the price for the PSN version.

Nothing too exciting here… Reggie was only about to answer two fan questions from Twitter. It was amusing seeing him nearly butcher Xenoblade Chronicle’s name, though! Don’t worry, Reggie – you still rock.

Tezuka on New Super Mario Bros. similarities, Donkey Kong impact, touch-only Mario
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Takashi Tezuka has been offering some valuable insightful into the Mario series through numerous interviews. He’s probably the best man to talk about the franchise (aside from Miyamoto!) since he’s been working on it since the first Super Mario Bros.
Tekuza’s latest remarks include the reasoning behind the similarities between all of the New Super Mario Bros. games, how Donkey Kong Country Returns’ visuals motivated the NSMB Wii team, the possibility of a touch screen only Mario, and more.
For Tezuka’s exact quotes, head past the break.
Order Up!! will be one of the 3DS eShop’s largest-sized games
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
When Order Up!! hits the North American eShop this Thursday, it’ll be one of the largest-sized games on the digital store. The title takes up 2,485 blocks on an SD card, which amounts to 310 megabytes of space.
This does make quite a bit of sense. Order Up!! was originally intended to arrive in North American stores before being moved to the eShop.
Other large eShop content includes Mighty Switch Force (1,800 blocks, 225 MB), Let’s Golf 3D (1,520 blocks, 190 MB), and The Amazing Spider-Man demo (1,001 blocks, 125 MB).
