You’ve got just two weeks left to show your love for The Legend of Zelda series by entering our “Make Your own Zelda Flipnote” contest. We’re celebrating 25 years of the The Legend of Zelda and asking you to come up with a creative Flipnote that pays homage to the legendary series in your own unique way!

You can create Zelda Flipnotes that celebrate memorable scenes, unique characters, challenging puzzles and more! The entries will be judged by several creators deeply involved in the Zelda series over the years, including Shigeru Miyamoto himself, and winning entries will then be published worldwide on the Nintendo Channel, Flipnote Hatena and The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary website.

Following a few hours of downtime, Nintendo fans can once again access the 3DS eShop, Wii Shop Channel, and DSi Shop. There don’t appear to be any significant changes in any of the shops, so this was most likely routine maintenance. You have to wonder why it took so long for the services to return, though…

The Wii Shop Channel, DSi shop, and 3DS eShop are all closed for maintenance at the moment. We don’t know if there’s any significant reason behind the downtime. It’s possible that they’re just going through general maintenance. The shops will supposedly return at 8 PM EDT.
