Suda51 teases No More Heroes announcement for 2012, 3DS/Vita game “would be interesting”

Since No More Heroes launched on Wii a number of years ago, the franchise has made an appearance on other platforms. Grasshopper has never tried making a game in the franchise for a portable system, however.
Could that change in the future? The short answer is possibly.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Grasshopper CEO Goichi Suda stated that No More Heroes is “one of the most important IPs” for the company. He also provided a coy response when asked if the franchise will move to the 3DS or Vita.
“Lots of things are being cooked up, but I can’t really say much right now. As far as No More Heroes is concerned I consider it one of the most important IPs we have at Grasshopper and hopefully we can announce something for this series next year. I’m sure [series protagonist] Travis is not having a good time being missed, with no announcement this year! …Hmm. Hmmm. That (No More Heroes on 3DS or Vita) *would* be interesting… (with a smile)”
Yuji Naka says platforms from the major console manufacturers may not exist in ten years

This information comes from Yuji Naka…
“I think ten years later, the various consoles and platforms from Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony may not exist. Instead of buying specific hardware perhaps everything will migrate to software based systems like PC, iOS, and Android.”
Even though SNS and smartphone games have been on the rise, I just can’t imagine a future without Nintendo consoles in particular. Where would we get out Mario and Zelda fix?!

SEGA teasing new game
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
SEGA is teasing a new game, but, unlike most teasers, they aren’t doing so through a website. The company has posted a mysterious image on their Facebook page that says, “The conclusion of this story will not go beyond the beginning of a different story.”
And that’s it! No word on when the title will be announced, by the way. Perhaps we’ll hear something via Famitsu in a few weeks?
Nintendo World Store celebrates Zelda’s 25th anniversary in style

The Nintendo World Store has a classy display of various Zelda items in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Visitors can find all sorts of trinkets, posters, art, and much more. It’ll be up until February 2012, so there’s still a good amount of time to check it out if you’re in New York City.
One item that caught my eye in particular is the “gold” triforce pin (see picture 11, third image in gallery). I recall receiving a very similar pin from Nintendo when I became a sage on the NSider forums a number of years ago. Anyone remember those days? It makes me wish that Nintendo brought back a dedicated forum for their fans. The “Nintendo Tech Forums” are a poor replacement!

Will a new Pokemon game be announced at Jump Festa?
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
For the first time, Pokemon Company will be attending Jump Festa. And you may remember that a few months ago, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara hinted at a new game announcement before the end of the year.
Does that mean a new title will be revealed at the show? We don’t know for sure, but that’s what some fans are speculating. Jump Festa could turn out to be very interesting for Pokemon fans!
