WWE All Stars made it out for the 3DS last year. At this time, it’s unclear if there will be more wrestling action on the system in 2012.

When THQ’s WWE Global Community Manager Aaron Kaufman was asked about a new title for the 3DS, suggesting a possible WrestleFest game with DLC he said, “cool idea, unfortunately no”.

To me this sort of sounds like a no to the WrestleFest idea rather than ruling out a project for the 3DS entirely. There are others, though, who think otherwise. Maybe THQ will clarify the situation soon…

I’m pretty certain this trailer is identical to the launch trailer we posted a few days ago. The only difference I see is an additional five seconds added in showing off the Commemorative Golden Coins Club Nintendo reward.

Screenshots are of the 3DS version. I imagine the Wii U version won’t look much different.

Nicalis’ next Nintendo game is 1001 Spikes. The studio will be releasing it on the 3DS eShop as well as Wii U’s digital store.

1001 Spikes is a remake of the indie title Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes made by 8bits Fanatics. It was released on the Xbox Live Marketplace last year.

The 3DS/Wii U edition will feature new art, visuals, music, sound, and a multiplayer mode. Four users will be able to play together locally.

1001 Spikes will be released this year. It’ll be available on the 3DS eShop first and on Wii U sometime after.

Thanks to Sergio F for the tip.

MEGA-COOL!

This past week I got a relatively random e-mail asking me if I wanted a free copy of the latest issue of Nintendo Power, which contained exclusive Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards. I figured “Why the hell not?” and gave them my address, only to get the magazine a few days later and sit around baffled as to how I was going to turn this into an article. Some people would say “Think about this before you give them your address, Austin!”, but I’m more of a ‘Get free stuff now, figure out the article later’ kind of guy.

So I e-mailed the guy last night and asked if there was anything in particular he wanted me to showcase, and he said not to worry about it and just write whatever I want. So here I am, writing whatever I want and realizing how much I like magazines. I’m not currently subscribed to any, and there aren’t really any out there I want to be subscribed to all that much, but just the idea of a magazine is cool. A physical booklet filled with information about something you know and love? Something you can carry with you anywhere and have something to read when you’re stuck waiting for a train or lounging about during break time at work? I think that’s so great. I really do. But with the internet, can those types of things really survive?

I say yes, but they need to start approaching it differently.

The final two (or should I say three?) images in the gallery are “official concept art” that will be used for pre-order bonuses. Specifically, they’ll be placed on stickers, clear files, pouches, and notebooks.

Miyamoto was trying out the Audioguide at the Louvre Museum a few days ago. You can find out more about the 3DS guide here.

Two 3DS titles from Renegade Kid remain in limbo. Neither Planet Crashers nor ATV Wild Ride 3D have been released yet.

Both were originally announced as retail games, but they may end up on the eShop instead. The final decision lies in the hands of publisher Ignition Entertainment.

Based on what we found out about Order Up on Thursday, it’s more than possible that Planet Crashers and ATV Wild Ride 3D will skip store shelves for the 3DS’ digital store.
